Scopolamine Menace

Interesting, you might be the latest victim of the ‘devil’s breath’.
Human beings have a free will to decide what, when and how to or how not to do things. Medical hypnotizing takes away this free will while extracting some information from a subject and treats some medical conditions. The difference here is that the subject is informed prior and consents to the whole exercise.
On the other, Scopolamine or the devil’s breath as it is locally known in Columbia, is a lethal drug that is used mostly to block the subject’s conscious and completely eliminates the subject’s freewill to think independently. Experts have recorded that the drug blocks the free will, reduces memory and even kills making it the perfect weapon for robbers around the globe.
Scopolamine is chemically produced from datura plant and is refined into powder form or a pill. Its odourless and tasteless hence it’s not easily noticeable when used.
You have probably heard of cases where burglary was performed but the victim cannot recall where and how it took place. Most people who use this drug pose as helpless individuals looking for directions in most streets of Nairobi or anywhere across the country. Under high dosage, scopolamine is lethal but does life of a victim really matter to a money-hungry fella? I wish it did.
Scopolamine is known as the ‘devils breath’ because once inhaled, all the evil acts can take place since the human conscience is trapped and the subject will only take orders from a third party.
As interesting as it may seem, this drug is evil. So the next time some stranger engages you in a suggestive talk or a weird conversation, look back and imagine how it will be like, losing your free will to think for yourself even if it’s for some few minutes.
